Go to Section 3. Shifting from “Measuring” to “Producing”

Takuwa, which knows and respects water well, believes that the social issue of “reconstructing an altruistic relationship with water” that humanity has forgotten in the process of achieving prosperity is an issue that it must solve as its mission.
Takuwa's sincere efforts at technology to “know about water” are atonement for the damage humans have done to the Earth, the birthplace of humanity, and Takuwa is convinced that it will help return the water circulation system, the source of all life, to what it should be. Takuwa aims to become a company that creates a sustainable world by working to solve environmental issues and social issues such as poverty and education.

Reconstructing an Altruistic
Relationship with Water

Former Vice President of the World Bank Dr Ismail Serageldin said that Many of the wars of the 20th century were about oil but wars of the 21st century will be about water.
The world is currently facing intensifying conflict over water, which is under threat. A world in which people fight to get even one more drop of water... It is not possible to deny that the dystopian world depicted in the movie “Mad Max” could become a reality. Humanity must take action now. There is not much time left for it.
Under the corporate philosophy of “creating a world where people and water coexist,” Takuwa will use its unique technologies and skills to overcome the crisis and work hard to realize a new social model.
Takuwa has been dealing with water for over 60 years since its founding, and as the top company in Japan for water level gauges, Takuwa is proud to have devoted itself to improvement without ever backing down from the front line.

Aiming for an Energy-Sharing Society
based on a Spirit of Altruism

The “selfish control through exploitation” that humanity has fallen into at some point has spread to resources other than water as well. In particular, the persistent desire for selfish control over energy resources has intensified the competition for vested interests, causing dangerous geopolitical instability and extreme wealth disparities that involve the entire world, as well as serious environmental destruction.
Humans need to recognize the reality that the survival of the human race is at stake unless humans take immediate action to solve the social issue that exists alongside the water crisis.
Takuwa sees this difficult challenge that stands before it as a step to evolve the Company, and takes on the challenge to realize an “energy-sharing society based on a spirit of altruism” based on an altruistic mind.
That's because technology to replace water level gauges will appear in the not-too-distant future. If not today or tomorrow, that day will surely come. That day will probably come in 10 years, or even five years.
In preparation for that day, the Company has conducted thorough risk assessments and prepared to take on the challenge.
Takuwa has already begun development of an innovative sensor that will “create value” beyond current renewable energy systems.
Having taken a historic step that marks a new challenge, Takuwa has now shifted course to altruism-oriented management. With altruism at its core, Takuwa aims to become a company that creates a sustainable world by focusing on water and the global environment, engaging with them, and working to solve environmental issues and social issues such as poverty and education.
