Welcome to the official Takuwa website.
In the world, there are currently structural changes in all of our surroundings, such as politics, economy, society, culture, and climate, causing old systems to stall and malfunction.
This has resulted in global-scale social issues related to war, terrorism, infectious diseases, poverty, education, resources, and technology. It may be right to say that all of these have stemmed from human selfishness. "Putting self-interest first" means "disregarding the needs or aspirations of others."
This is nothing new. When looking back in history, almost all of the societies in the past were developed by self-centered people who disregarded the needs and aspirations of others. This means the idea of putting self-interest first is generally predominant in the world. This way of thinking has steadily spread throughout the world, reaching an almost intolerable level.

About Takuwa

Takuwa has specialized in producing disaster prevention sensors such as water level gauges, or sensors for measuring the position of the river water surface, for more than half a century in Japan, where natural disasters occur frequently. We mark the 60th anniversary in 2025.

By installing sensors and water level gauges in rivers and sediment disaster sites nationwide, we have participated in national flood control and disaster prevention projects. With the knowledge accumulated and technologies improved over the past 60 years, we have embodied many disaster prevention or mitigation systems in Japan, a country with frequent disasters, and have protected its lands on the front line.

For example, we have a market share of over 60% in water level gauges installed in rivers in Japan. With this achievement, we decided to expand into global markets in a full-fledged manner before the 60th anniversary of our founding.

In new markets, our goal is to achieve a world of coexistence between people and water. So, what led us to this idea?
Since the beginning, humans have searched for water and evolved by communing with it. It can be said that they have always gathered around water. Over the course of their lives, humans have kept an amicable relationship with water by trying to understand it and using it wisely.

Getting used to the idea that access to water is always guaranteed, humans at some point forgot to commune with, but started controlling, water. Now, people are fighting over access to finite water resources, destroying the global environment, and even putting their lives at risk with their own hands.

To continue to live on this beautiful planet, we have to restore the coexistence with water that ancient humans had.

By the way, water makes up more than half of the human body. In the world inside the body, we may already coexist harmoniously with water.

Meanwhile, what is going on now in the outer world? It is getting difficult on a global scale to bring water into our living environment and circulate it. Takuwa would like to solve the current crisis, where water is becoming inaccessible in living areas and running out in the world.
As human beings, which are mostly made up of water, we have to sympathize, as a personal matter, with Earth — the planet of water — whose surface is 70% covered by water. This is all to save Earth and continue to live on this irreplaceable planet in harmony with water.
If we incorporate all of our strengths, such as developed technologies, cultivated expertise, and creativity-driven unique ideas, there must be a chance that we can solve the social issues the world is facing now.

At Takuwa, we can apply the coexistence system of water circulation inside our body even to the world outside the body. With belief and courage, we are fully prepared to move on to the future.

Takuwa is a company that provides a path toward a world of coexistence between people and water.
